Dory steak in black pepper sauce
It’s been weeks since I actually ate out. I’ve been cooking every single day, which is excellent for my health. However, I craved for something different today after a hard day’s work so I went out and ate with my friends.
Happy day, happy tummy.
Thank You Lord for the blessings!
Today the school celebrated Teacher’s Day. The student council prepared a wonderful program in dedication to the teachers. They had a special video featuring some students who posed as a writer, musician, businessman, athlete, and chemist having difficulties in their areas of specialties. While they ponder upon their problems, flashbacks of how their teachers helped them in the past came and they were able to solve the problems. They also had a short quiz to see how well they know their teachers. One of the questions was about my last name. Apparently, they normally misspell my name and mistake it as one of the cities in Italy though I think they meant one of the countries in South America. After the quiz, we were given flowers and tokens. Oh, and they also prepared a red carpet for us to walk on at the beginning of the program. How I love this day!
I’m the lady on the fourth from the left. 😉
I was feeling good inside during the program that I thought I’d cook something special tonight. I haven’t been cooking since I sort of “moved back” so in celebration to this momentous day, I decided to cook.
When the sun was about to set,
I started preparing dinner. Initially, I planned on making some pasta but ended up going for some vegetables and tofu since it’s dinner. I got everything ready and started frying the sliced tofu. I don’t know what happened that the pan has been on the stove for an hour and the food isn’t cooked yet. 😦 I was so hungry since lunch was not so filling that I ended up eating yogurt and some biscuits while waiting for the tofu to be cooked. The vegetables are on queue but I can’t proceed because tofu is still cooking. I thought of making some jajjangmyeon (Korean black noodles). It also took forever for the water to boil. When I was about to open the pack, I saw it was already expired! Sigh. What can I possibly do now? I resorted to making some oatmeal. Again, the water from the tap didn’t boil well so I ended up cooking it on the stove. I guess it’s okay to eat, right? Well, it’s five minutes to 9pm and it’s almost my bedtime and I haven’t eaten yet. :(:(:( I’m hungry for a real dinner.
Life is still beautiful. I just have to do better tomorrow. 😉 God bless and nyt-nyt!
Do you want to live healthier and happier? If so, then start moving, my friend! If you are a teacher like me, then I’d suggest that you start giving yourself some time to walk around even for 20 minutes only a day. Brisk walking is one of the healthiest forms of exercise especially when done in daylight when you can still see the lush green trees, the blooming flowers, and the clouds up in the sky. It does not only help regulate blood flow but it also helps release stress. 🙂
Last night, I tried walking with a friend. We went around our village at around 6:30p.m. It felt great to be able to swing my arms and stretch my legs. After a couple of rounds, we saw our dear pastor with his wife walking home. We chatted a bit and we got invited for dinner. Yay! Sumptuous meal after exercise? You’re right!
I need to exercise.
I really need to exercise.
I seriously need to exercise.
I seriously need to exercise everyday.:-)
Maybe it’s high time to come up with a chart listing all my goals for the week, right? I better make one tomorrow.
How about you? Do you exercise everyday? How is it?
God bless and may we all live a healthier and happier life!
For two weeks, we’ve been nothing but terribly busy at work–students and teachers alike. Coming towards the end of the semester means finishing all the businesses related to the quarter and getting ready for the upcoming one. Not a day went by that I didn’t bring any work home. Seriously! But the million dollar question is, “Did I work with any of those papers?” Absolutely, not! No, please don’t get me wrong, few minutes before going home, I’d be thinking of bring some papers to mark and all but whenever I step inside my super cozy flat, all thoughts about working are soon forgotten. Know why? Because I’d be thinking of household chores–endless chores and of course, my desire to read a book. 🙂 So today while waiting for something with my colleagues at the Front Office, one of my close colleagues said, “What do we do now? We’ve been soooo busy and then all of a sudden we’re not busy anymore. What do we do?” Well, I understand her point. You see, we were so caught up with our workload that we barely had time to eat or rest and then now that we’re done with everything, what do we do? Nothing. Nothing because for three weeks we can enjoy our hard earned holidays! Three weeks off! How cool is that! But before I get too excited I’d like to talk about my weekly holiday, the Sabbath day!
Hmmm…I wonder what life would be without Sabbath. Unimaginable. I am so glad that I don’t have to worry about going to work everyday, that I don’t have to do my chores everyday. Isn’t that a blessing? One day each week I have the liberty to enjoy a sweet fellowship with other believers. One day each week I get to relax and do nothing but praise God through singing songs, listening to sermons, taking active part in church activities, play music with my pals, and most of all, commune with my Father! Isn’t that awesome? Isn’t that something to look forward to? Oh, what a blessing! Attending vespers every Friday evening is another blessing that I always look forward to. Just the thought that I’d be able to worship with God’s children whom I consider my family here in Thailand is beyond what I can be grateful for. Did I mention about the sumptuous meal that we devour after breaking God’s word? What a lovely evening!
Praise God for the Sabbath day! Thank You Lord for the Sabbath!
I am off to dreamland. 🙂
